how much does crawl space encapsulation cost?

I have seen them range from $7,000, all the way up to over $30,000. So that's not an easy question to answer. Crawl space encapsulation cost is determined not only by the crawlspace square footage, but also the crawl space's linear footage, average height, and number of piers.

Does the crawl space need more than an encapsulation?

Measurements are not the only thing required when pricing a crawl space encapsulation. Often times, standing water inside a crawl space must be addressed, before any encapsulation work may be began. French drain, and sump pump installation, adds a hefty number to the overall project cost.

Do I have to get everything repaired all at once?

If standing water is present, or signs of standing water are present, the drainage problem must be addressed in full, first. Once complete, the crawl space encapsulation can be performed in full. And in the end, you can get your new r19 poly-encapsulated floor insulation installed.
Hopefully, when you were watching the finished crawl space encapsulation videos above, you were able to take note of a few things. And aside from these three home services being completely unique to themselves, and totally separate contractor projects from one another, I hope you were able to see that the projects themselves, never change. You gotta follow the ingredients folks! Unfortunately, if you skip any of the steps, any money you have spent towards repair cost, will have been 100% wasted on your behalf.
