There's two things that can excel your success faster than anything else: Reputation and Relationships.

A reputation must be earned. It is a byproduct of the person you become, due to a compounding of lifelong decisions.

Reputations aren't created overnight, but with a few wrong decisions, can be destroyed within that time frame.

Reputations stem from chosen circles. One of the earliest success rules I learned was: You become a reflection of the five people you give the most time to.

As a person reflects on those five, and we all know who the five are, don't lie to yourself, you have to study their habits and behaviors, and be honest about whether or not they are beneficial to you becoming the person you desire to become.

More times than not, at least a few of those five are family members. To me, those are the toughest of situations, especially whenever they are detrimental to the health of your success.

That's usually the drawing point for why some people fail, and others never stop rising. And the ones that choose to rise, they are aware that a rising tide lifts all ships! So who do you think those on the rise want to give their time to?

It's not simply a matter of "want to". These are actual rules always at play, whether you abide by them or not, you will reap their consequences, for the good, and for the bad.

The right relationships can open doors for you that otherwise could never be opened! Your network is your net worth!

Your only real rule as one of my students, is to leave people happier than you found them. If you can master this skill, you will have an extremely valuable reputation, that allows you to create and grow valuable relationships. You cannot have an over abundance of the two.

I type these letters daily, in search of valuable relationships. Thankfully, not everyone shares similar goals. So like a magnet, I speak life daily into the universe, looking to attract like minds, who too possess the desire to forever increase the value of their reputation.
